In late July, our friends Nikki and Dave got married in Hakalau on Hawaii's beautiful Big Island. Chandler and I travelled for a week before the wedding festivities begun. There was so much to see (dormant and active volcanoes, waterfalls, lava and black sand beaches). The week was amazing in so many ways...

Nikki handmade her dress from pieces of sari fabric. The leis worn by the bridal party and the couple were also handmade by friends and family.

i love that the couple's family and friends made the leis and she made her dress--wow!!! beautiful laid back feel, that's the big island!! :)

Very nice photos. Hawaii is a very good place. A Hawaii wedding ceremony is a very ideal wedding for me. I want to experience this unique but still traditional and sacred kind of wedding ceremony.
